Went down to lake michigan today to try out a new weight belt with 10 lbs of weight. Still postive bouyant but thats ok for now. Beginning to realize that 14mm of neoprene suit is going to be great at depth for diving but at surface temperatures is a virtual sauna in water as cold as 40 degrees. Still to bouyant to swim really, i keep floating so near the surface that i cant even get a deep tread in the water. legs float up lol. Going to try powers lake and a couple others. They have better water clarity.

Working hard pays off. ending up doing a triple shift at work so now i get to reap the benefits of working hard. A nice 3 day weekend, during which our store is having a super free sample event going on, where with the purchase of a drink people are getting a free sandwich. gonna be a mess to work in the kitchen area for.

thegeekhosting.com was a labor of love and much frustration. It is an integration of the smarty template system as well as whcms. Whcms is an automatic script that handles billing, account setup, domain name setup, invoicing,client control etc. for my hosting company. Its well worth the licencing fees BUT… there is always a but. templating in it is a pain to learn at first since there isnt much like it out there at the momen, that ive run across.

Well in about 1 week i need to drive to indiana to deliver a dog. long story short the roommates little sister came home with a dog that she and we arent allowed to have, instead of tossing it in the pound to die, her aunt and I are going on a roadtrip to indiana to take it to her moms house to live
Only a couple weeks till scuba class starts and im still shaky on my swimming skills, its been awhile and i wish i could find somewhere to get more pool time but that will come.

I know its going to sound nuts but tommorow we are going swimming in lake michigan. Although I am cheating and wearing 14mm of neoprene wetsuit. I start my scuba diving classes in june and want to get as much swim time in as possible so that I am as comfortable in my suit and gear as possible. I have always loved swimming and snorkeling and while I was stationed in Okinawa with the Marines in 99′-00′ I was snorkeling every chance I got. The water was so clear and amazing there. I was stationed on Camp Schwab and there was a small island a couple hundred feet off the coast. Once you swam out there, there was a small cave that was half submerged during low time that when your snorkeled through was filled with all sorts of tropical fish and yes once in awhile a corral snake. Even though i am deathly afraid of snakes, it was still an amazing experience and something I have always wanted to do again.
